BOULDER TOWN

Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS) – Our Home

Boulder Utah is remote. Historians claim that it was the last community in the lower 48 states to get its mail delivered by mule train. The tiny town is surrounded by Forest Service and BLM land, including the Grand Staircase-Escalante national monument. Ranching and tourism are two of the pillars of the Boulder economy.

Rugged escarpments, alpine meadows, and remote beauty.

Scenic Byway 12 (a Utah State Highway) runs through town, connecting Boulder to Torrey, Bicknell, and Loa to the North, and Escalante to the South.

Boulder offers excellent restaurants (including Magnolia’s, the Burr Trail Grill and the famous Hell’s Backbone Grill), gas stations, and a museum showcasing Ancestral Puebloan artifacts and an archaeological site.
