I came to BOSS because:
I came to BOSS because I felt a deep pull to reconnect-with nature, with myself, and with the broader human experience. That sense of reilluminating our natural, symbiotic relationship with the world around us is something I wanted not just to explore, but to live.
I work at BOSS because:
I work at BOSS because of the lasting impact my own student course had on my life. It expanded my curiosity, strengthened my confidence, and gave me a new perspective on what it means to live in connection with nature. I want to help create that same opportunity for others-to support them in discovering their strengths through the BOSS curriculum, with nature as our greatest teacher.
About Ryan Ross
Inspired by nature and play, I didn’t fully know how to dive into life until I started letting go of the boundaries we’re often taught as kids - ”Don’t do that, you might get hurt.” There is a line from Calvin and Hobbes that's always stuck with me: “I say if your knees aren’t green by the end of the day, you ought to seriously re-examine your life.” Growth doesn’t happen when everything is safe and controlled-it happens when we’re challenged, when we stumble, and when we learn to get back up. It’s about learning how to “tuck and roll,” understanding our limits while continuing to push beyond our comfort zone. Over time, that’s how we become comfortable in the uncomfortable-and discover what we’re truly capable of.
