About Will Hanson
I was introduced to camping and the "outdoors" during family car camping trips in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. As I have grown my connection and relationship with the Land has been deepening - working on a ranch in high school, whitewater river guiding and mountain biking in college, working with Southern Trelawny Environmental Agency as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Jamaica, becoming an Outward Bound field instructor, working as a BOSS instructor, studying Land-based education in graduate school, and now working with permaculture and restorative agriculture systems. Rivers have been a special mentor to me, teaching me how to bring my greatest gifts to the communities I am a member of. I see how throughout my whole life I have been learning from the places I am living within. Their unique expressions of Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, low growing plants, insects, fish, canines, ungulates, trees, birds, weather, Moon, Sun, stars, ancestors, spirits, and so many more have all been there guiding me; helping me grow. I am filled with gratitude for every moment I get to be in this human body :-)
