Survival Classes

The Boulder Outdoor Survival School has been the gold standard for wilderness survival classes and primitive skills instruction since 1968. Join us.
Students come from around the world for 7, 14, or 28-day courses in the wilderness of southern Utah. Our classic courses are the field courses we teach in the stunning canyons and mountains surrounding the small town of Boulder, UT. On our courses, you can learn a huge variety of survival and traditional skills, starting with the basics: making shelter with local and gathered materials, making fire with friction (bow drill, hand drill, etc.), primitive traps, stone tools, cordage, navigation, and a lot more. We’re very proud to say that many of our instructors are internationally recognized experts on survival and bushcraft.
