Survival Camp

We teach survival and primitive skills camps and expeditions and offer a unique physical and mental challenge in southern Utah. And we’ve been doing it since 1968.
At the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS), we have honed and developed our instruction for more than 50 years. We offer two main types of survival camp (or survival course): Field courses and Skills courses. For students in search of more advanced instruction or a bigger challenge, we also offer an advanced navigation course and our famous hunter gatherer course.

Students come from around the world to join expert instructors for seven to 28-day survival camps in the wilderness of southern Utah. You will learn everything from how to sleep out in the woods without a tent or sleeping bag to how to make fire with friction, primitive traps, stone tools, cordage, navigation, and a lot more.

Are you ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime?
