Standards of Behavior
On BOSS Field and Explorer Courses,
all participants are expected to maintain high standards of honor, morality,
and integrity. They are to abstain from all use of tobacco, alcohol and harmful
drugs for the duration of the course. Participants must recognize the needs
and privacy of others and allow for personal differences.
For BOSS Skills and Training Courses, we expect the same standards of behavior,
but may permit smoking for those who find it essential. We do ask that smoking
be done away from instructional areas. Note: During fire bans and closures,
smoking is not allowed on any courses unless authorized by the appropriate
land agency (Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, etc).
Students who violate these standards will be released from a course immediately,
without any reimbursement of tuition or incurred expenses.
